Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Our internal system has a way of healing from within. This original blueprint initiated during preconception, conception and inutero. The blueprint can be disrupted when there is a shift such as chemical imprinting inutero, parental rejection as a child or living with abuse and violence. Our body learns to cope and we become resilient in dealing with life challenges. Often we do not find the time for quiet or to slow down in order for our body to repair at a cellular level.
Craniosacral therapy allows your system to find a place of relaxation and rest. As a therapist I am trained to work with the energy in your field and am able to sense the movement of fluid in your system as well as any stuck places in your system.
A session begins when you initially make contact to discuss your needs or to book an appointment. When you first walk in the door the session begins with talking to find out your intention for our time together. Once the intention is discovered you will lay on a massage table fully clothed. When you are ready for contact we begin the table time. Often we will start at the feet or the hands for grounding. The contact is gentle and may not even be physical contact but rather energetic contact. As the session proceeds I will ask you questions and check in with you verbally from time to time. Often there will be long periods of silence where you may feel a deep relaxation, or you may feel movement in the fluid in your body. There may be release of trauma which I will help guide you through.
A session may last 45 minutes or it may last over an hour depending on your intention for the session and the amount of time spent on the table. The session ends with some talking while you are on the table and then talking when you are sitting up. The purpose of slowing down your departure is to support your system with your return to the outside world. You are not rushed through a session. You are the guide for your own repair and healing.
Attachment therapy with adults may involve talking or movement, working through some of the stuck places and repatterning lived memories. Ther may be times when there are few worlds and more feeling or movement that surfaces. With children therapy may involve working through stuck birth patterns, past abuse or neglect, changes of family such as parental separation or divorce. Play may be talking, or it may involve repatterning birth or early trauma using balls, tunnels or toys. Play may also be aggressive with the use of swords and shields. The child guides the session with parental participation during the session. Attachment therapy supports positive change for the individual and for each of the personal relationships with family, friends, peers and co-workers.
